Lemsford SpringsA fascinating array of habitats: shallow spring-fed lagoons, marsh, willow woodland, hedgerow and meadow.
OughtonheadA mature alder/willow woodland with fen vegetation running adjacent to the River Oughton. It is adjacent to Oughtonhead Common Local Nature Reserve.
Royston Chalk PitsNatural exposures of rock are scarce in Hertfordshire. These two reserves show fine examples of the underlying bedrock of the county that is so important in shaping the types of vegetation on the surface.
