The picturesque River Stort begins near Clavering in Essex and meanders its way for 14 miles through Bishop’s Stortford, Sawbridgeworth, Harlow and Roydon before meeting the River Lee at Feilde’s Weir near Hoddesdon.
The surrounding area is made up of wet meadows, hedgerows and woodlands attracting a wonderful variety of wildlife. Various nature reserves dotted along the river provide the opportunity to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
