£23,650 plus 7% pension
Fixed term contract for four years
Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust is working in partnership with the Environment Agency to achieve landscape-scale nature conservation and the Living Rivers Officer will contribute to this work in Hertfordshire’s river valleys.
The Hertfordshire Living Rivers Officer will raise awareness of Hertfordshire’s rivers, their floodplains and associated biodiversity and co-ordinate restoration to favourable ecological condition through working with landowners, land managers, local communities and volunteers.
You’ll be a committed conservationist educated to degree level or equivalent in a biological/environmental science and have experience of habitat management and community engagement.

Support from members is vital to our work, providing nearly 60% of our income. We have 22,000 members in Herts and Middlesex - but we need more!
Working Hours: Early evenings, although the actual days and number of hours are flexible, and will be for a 26 week period.
Your Skills: Successful applicants will be articulate and self-motivated, with good interpersonal skills and able to work independently. Previous sales or fundraising experience would be advantageous, but not essential as we will provide training and ongoing support.

CMFundraising (CMF) works closely with local Wildlife Trusts throughout the UK: our teams have proven incredibly successful - recruiting over 90,000 new members in one year alone.
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable people to work on behalf of local Wildlife Trusts at pre-booked venues and at organised events and shows. Most work is at weekends during the Spring to Autumn season - however, we do operate year-round, both weekday and weekends at other venues. Good earnings potential based on either a basic wage plus achievable bonus or on a self-employed basis. Hours vary from approximately 12 to 30 per week. Your own transport is essential. Training and ongoing support plus display and clothing provided.
