Developing a Partnership

Your opportunity to invest in the future of local wildlife and wild places, and contribute to a healthier environment for everyone

In addition to becoming a Corporate Member, there are many other ways that companies can support HMWT. A partnership with the Trust will provide positive publicity and many opportunities for your staff to get involved:

  • Your staff could take place in a Corporate Work Party, getting their hands dirty doing important conservation work on one of nature reserves.
  • Support a local project: We have many exciting projects and works taking place across the county that can help your company meet your CSR or PR requirements. Invest directly in your local environment and well-being of the local community by supporting a specific project or making an annual donation to your local Trust nature reserve.
  • Gifts in kind: The Trust can really benefit from discounted or donated products and services which means more income can be spent on wildlife conservation.

Case Studies

Cadbury

Cadbury Staff at Stocker's Lake NR

We have been lucky enough to have had the great support of Cadbury since 2002. Over the years, a strong partnership has developed, with staff taking part in regular work parties on HMWT nature reserves. Taks have included improving visitor access by resurfacing pathways at Stocker's Lake NR, as well as coppicing and clearing invasice scrub at Uxbridge Alderglade NR in order to widen rides and increase light into the woodland, encouraging more wildlife into the area.

Lisa Huggins-Chan, CSR Manager for Cadbury, said, "This is a great opportunity for Cadbury to show its ongoing commitment to imporving their local community as well as providing an experience for our employees to interact with the local environment".

Veolia Water Central Ltd

Water Vole by Paul Broadbent

Corporate Members, Veolia Water (previously Three Valleys Water) have been a dedicated supporter of the Wildlife Trust. They have sponsored a number of projects, particularly investing their support in our Wetlands for Water Voles & People work where they donated the production costs of an information leaflet aimed to show householders - with a water course on their land - how their property can be managed for the protection of wildlife, specifically water voles. The leaflet will be distributed at HMWT events as well as to households in specific habitat areas. To download your free copy please click here.

They also sponsored a family fun day at Cassiobury Park NR, which included a Dawn Chorus Walk, children's nature trail and an evening Bat Walk, to educate and inspire the local community: connecting people with their surrounding wildlife. The event, which was held on 19th May, attracted over 1,000 people and was a great success with thanks to our sponsers Veolia Water Ltd. Thank you.
