Give us a Kiss-ing Gate - Appeal Update

You have all raised £5,842 to help us give children continued access to nature - thank you!

You understand that your local kissing gates, bridges and boardwalks offer your children and your grandchildren the doorway to get close to nature.  That they allow them to learn about wildlife and the countryside by being in it.

You also know that they cost money. Ravaged by regular use and the awful storms last winter, these simple structures have been desperately crying out for repair - some needed replacing altogether.

So, we asked and you delivered.  Raising almost £6,000 towards our 'Give us a Kiss' appeal, you have helped us replace some of the old and tired wooden gates, fences and other structures on some of our sites to maintain safe access and keep the adventures going.

We thought you would like to see one of our new kissing gates at Hexton Chalk Pit, as a result of your ongoing support...
