Veteran Trees and Fungi
About the event
Together with the River Mimram, Panshanger Park's celebrated veteran trees form one of the the most important and precious ecological aspects of this historical landscape, providing homes to hundreds of other species. Join us on this guided walk to discover the park's ancient and veteran trees. Learn how to identify the fungi found on veteran trees and the amazing ways they interact with their hosts, and why the trees have grown to be so majestic and wonderful!
