Nextdoor Nature

What is Nextdoor Nature?

Nextdoor Nature is bringing communities together to help nature flourish where they live and work!

Thanks to £5million funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Nextdoor Nature will provide people with the advice and support they need to help nature on their doorstep, and leave a lasting natural legacy in honour of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Every one of us can help bring back nature and tackle climate change, by taking small actions that add up to big changes. Nextdoor Nature will be encouraging lots of different communities to get involved in lots of different ways to help nature thrive and make the places where they live, work and visit better for wildlife - so that everyone can benefit.

This could be:

  • Supporting teachers to embrace outdoor learning, giving children the chance to learn in and about nature.
  • Encouraging people to create wilder, green places on their doorsteps, welcoming and supporting local wildlife.
  • Supporting young people to develop the skills they need to act as environmental champions in their local areas.
We can achieve incredible things when we work together!
