Harlow Conservation Volunteers

Harlow Greenteam

This group has been running for almost a year. As it is fairly new there are lots of fresh ideas and exciting new projects. Rivers Orchard Nursery Sawbridgeworth

With a long history linked to the site, this group of volunteers are very dedicated and keen to preserve this beautiful patch of land. They are self-run and very welcoming. Sawbridgeworth Marsh - Essex Wildlife Trust

The current volunteer warden has been involved with the site since the early 1990s. Since then the group has strengthened and become self-sufficient and very committed. They meet regularly on Sundays and in the summer months they meet during the week as well. Rushy Mead - Essex Wildlife Trust

Rushey Mead is supported by the Uttlesford Group Work Party. They move around different reserves within the Uttlesford area helping the local wardens with their "patch". For more information please contact Michael Rowley on 01799 550378.

Harlow Badger Group

Badger support in Essex has been enhanced by the formation of a new group representing the Harlow area. If you are interested in badgers and their conservation the group would like to hear from you. For further information please contact info@hbg-uk.org or phone 01279 503332.

The Wednesday Volunteers

This group was set up in May 2009 and has met on every Wednesday since. They are an independent group that works on various sites in the South East region of Hertfordshire. They carry out a wide variety of tasks such as hedge laying, fencing, pond maintenance and footpath clearance. For futher information please contact ericdunell@ntlworld.com or phone 01992 584587.
