Autumn Walk at Whippendell Wood
, Chandler's Cross, Hertfordshire, WD3 4NA
About the event
Discover the wildlife and natural features of this special site as we explore the woodland, looking out for autumn colours, fungi and birds. With the trees beginning to change colour and fungi emerging on dead wood and leaf litter, autumn is a wonderful time to explore the woodland and discover more about the wildlife that calls it home.
Along the way, our Reserves Officer will share insights into the site and the conservation work we carry out in partnership with Watford Borough Council. You'll also learn more about how the woodland is managed to protect and enhance its habitats and support biodiversity.
This event is suitable for Adults.
This walk is weather dependent and may need to be cancelled at short notice.
