About the event

We will be taking a deep dive into the creatures that live in the river, using your skills to identify the creatures using our ID charts. Look closely, count legs, and tails and watch out for those predators!

This event is a drop in session suitable for all ages. You'll find us under a gazebo on the grass by the river. We will be outside so come dressed for the weather.

Please be aware this event may be cancelled in the case of bad weather.

This event is part of the very first Herts Rivers Week - a celebration of our globally rare and beautiful chalk rivers. Through a series of walks, talks, and family-friendly events, you can learn about the wildlife chalk rivers support, the challenges they face, and simple ways you can help to protect them.
