About the event
Join us for a relaxed guided walk at Amwell Nature reserve where we'll see the wonderful variety of wildfowl gathering on the lake, alongside wading birds, gulls and other wetland species. With the help of our Reserves Officer, we'll explore the reserve's viewpoints and bird hides, using binoculars and a telescope to observe the birds and discover more about their behaviour and habitats. Throughout the walk, you will learn basic tips and advice to help you identify different bird species, and find out more about the habitat management the Trust has undertaken.
Whether you're new to birdwatching or already enjoy spotting wildlife, this is a great opportunity to develop your identification skills, learn more about our winter visitors and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the reserve.
Suitable for adults and children 12 years and over. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
The walk is weather dependent and may need to be cancelled at short notice if conditions are unsuitable.
