In January 2017, the Trust met Ben and Kate Marston; founders of newly-opened Puddingstone Distillery. The Distillery is located near to the Trust's Tring Reservoirs Nature Reserve and Ben and Kate were keen to support the ongoing conservation work of the Trust through their new business. Together the Trust and Puddingstone came up with the concept of using the flowers of the invasive species Himalayan balsam to create a world-first pink gin.

When we founded Puddingstone Distillery, our aim was to produce a gin of exceptional and inspirational nature, created with a mindfulness of community and environment, with an aspiration to invigorate consumers senses, lead them on adventures near and far, discover simple pleasures and connect with kindred spirits. It is these same values that we see reflected in the ethos and work of HMWT, values that continue to make working with them such a great pleasure and indeed an unavoidable consequence of two organisations striving for like goals.Puddingstone Distillery
