About the event

Take a short tour of the beautiful Formal Gardens with The Grove’s Senior Gardener. Enjoy the spectacular herbaceous border and be in with a chance of spotting the resident little owl.  Return to the Potting Shed, to be greeted by Ben Marston, Director and Distiller of Hertfordshire based Puddingstone Distillery. Ben will present an engaging insight into the history of gin, Puddingstone Distillery and how they make Campfire Gin.

Enjoy two cocktails from their Campfire Gin menu plus samples, along with a selection of canapes.

About The Grove

The Grove is set in 300 acres of Hertfordshire parkland, dating back to the 13th century, with surrounding lakes and woodland. The 18th century mansion was the former home of the Earls of Clarendon.

The gardens draw heavily on the existing features of each site, whether historically, ecologically, visually or environmentally and the Formal Gardens which run the entire length of the hotel provide a link between the interior and the wider landscape and the 18 hole Championship Golf Course.

Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust are proud to be working with The Grove as one of their Gold corporate partners to provide a wildlife management plan that encourages a diversity of wildlife thriving within the garden area, across the golf course and into the wilder outer edges of the estate.

About Puddingstone Distillery

We are excited to be working in partnership with Puddingstone Distillery to produce a very special gin, infused with the edible flower of the invasive Himalayan balsam plant, which has been removed by volunteers from our reserves this summer.

Proceeds from this event will go towards supporting the work of Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust.

This event can be purchased as an experience gift voucher from our Wildlife Gift Shop.
