About the event

Join Iain, our Reserves Officer, for a walk around this beautiful chalk grassland reserve on the scarp slope of the north-east Chilterns, with wonderful views of the surrounding landscape. It's a chance to experience chalk grassland as it should be; unimproved, never ploughed and full of wildflowers, and hopefully some butterflies too. It is a great site for butterflies, with Green Hairstreaks and Dingy Skippers on the wing in late spring/early summer.

Please be aware that although this walk will be short in length (under a mile but with plenty to see), the reserve is undulating, with steep slopes along the route. Recommended for ages 12+.
