About the event
Head down to Panshanger Park this summer and take part in the Chalk Stream Challenge – a fun, hands-on activity perfect for children of all ages!
Explore one of the UK's rare and special chalk streams – the River Mimram. Discover the fascinating wildlife living beneath the surface, learn why these magical habitats are so important, and find out how we can help protect them.
There are five parts to completing the Chalk Stream Challenge. This drop-in session runs from 11am to 3pm, with our friendly staff and volunteers on hand to guide you through the first three parts:

• Learn about the stream’s rich history, wildlife and threats
Entrance is via Thieves Lane car park – then follow the signs for the Challenge! Please allow 90 minutes to complete the session.
Finish the final two sections at home to earn your certificate and badge. For more information, visit: www.hertswildlifetrust.org.uk/chalk-stream-challenge
