About the event

Join Sarah Perry, River Catchment Coordinator at Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust, who will be introducing us to the Living Rivers of Hertfordshire. Our county is home to one of the rarest environments on earth - chalk streams. Learn about their fascinating origins, special wildlife and how people are working together across Hertfordshire and beyond to protect chalk rivers from the threats they face.

Aimed at adults but all ages welcome!

Please be aware this talk is being recorded.

Herts Rivers Week 2026 is a county-wide celebration of our chalk rivers through events and activities for all ages. It is also a call to action designed to help people understand the value of chalk rivers - and the role we all play in protecting them.
