About the event

Come and join an early morning walk around Astonbury Wood to experience the Dawn Chorus deep within a woodland.

Come along to Astonbury Wood for a morning walk to listening to the calls of some of the woodlands resident bird species. Birds are most active around dawn, calling to mark their territory or attract a mate - hence the early start! The walk will be approximately 1.5 miles (2.4km) in length and almost all within Astonbury Wood.

This walk will cover uneven ground and the paths can be very wet and muddy at this time of year.
