About the event

Start your day with a breath of fresh air on a guided early morning walk through Purwell Ninesprings, led by our Reserves Officer, Callum. As the sun rises, immerse yourself in the magical sounds of the dawn chorus echoing across the reserve’s varied habitats.

The walk will take you past ponds and reedbeds, through wet meadow, and into tranquil woodland. Along the way, you can expect to hear a wonderful variety of birds, including warblers, reed buntings, little egrets, woodpeckers, song thrushes, and more. As you walk, you'll have the chance to learn about their unique songs.

This gentle morning walk offers a perfect chance to slow down, escape the bustle of daily life, and connect with nature at its most serene, before the world fully wakes up.

The walk will be about 1 mile and will last approximately 1.5 hours and may cover muddy and uneven terrain, so sturdy footwear and suitable warm layers are recommended. Please note that this event is weather dependent and may need to be cancelled at short notice.

This walk is suitable for ages 12+.
